Apple now sells two separate phones with modest displays, after years of increasing and bigger displays. In 2020, the iPhone SE had a major update, taking the iPhone 8 and significantly improving its features, and was followed by the release of the iPhone 12 small, which is roughly the same size as the SE. Now, iPhone aficionados may select between two current iPhones that are on opposing ends of the spectrum.
However, one of them may be leaving. For months, rumours have circulated that the iPhone 12 small isn't selling as well as the other versions, with Apple reporting low sales of the diminutive device. As Apple prepares to release the iPhone 13, Trendforce claims that the iPhone 12 mini has reached end-of-life status. However, rumours suggest that Apple will keep its tiny smartphone in the iPhone 13 lineup. Apple is also expected to update the iPhone SE next year, so in 2022, there will likely be two phones to pick from.
